Metabolic Nutrition P.S.P review

THE PROMISE

Coming to you from Metabolic Nutrition, the P.S.P is a non-stimulant pre-workout with a lot of praise from the company. For MN to come up with something that is not overdosed with stimulants that can blow your head off, sounds strange. MN claims “the most effective, nitric-oxide boosting, fast-acting non-stimulant pre-workout on the market”. Big statements are not uncommon in the Pre Workout world…and that’s why you are reading this review 🙂

THE LABEL FOR DUMMIES

Metabolic Nutrition P.S.P. Supplement Facts

The P.S.P like the Metabolic Nutrition E.S.P before it uses a proprietary blend, but I don not the ingredients in the blend and not the blend itself. That is not the first time Metabolic Nutrition does this, and we still don’t like that. But we’ll man up and take on the label here.

P.S.P Pre-Workout Proprietary Matrix

Beta Alanine, Glycerol (75%), Glycoload, Creatine Glycol Phosphate, Tri-Pep, Agmatine Sulfate, Citrulline Malate, Arginine Silicate, N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, Choline Bitartrate, L-Norvaline, Picamilon, 3,7-Dimethyl-1H-Purine-2,6-Dione, Norcoclaurine, Calcium Glycerol Gluconate, Magnesium Glycerol Gluconate, Potassium Glycerol Gluconate, Sodium Glycerol Gluconate, Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hci), Vitamin b3 (niacin), Vitamin b12 (Cyanocobalamin).

The main ingredients in this blend are Beta Alanine is a great ingredient to help with muscle fatigue and endurance, Citrulline Malate, Agmatine, Glycerol and L-Norvaline are for enhancing muscle pumps and N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine and Picamilon for mental focus and enhanced cognitive ability.

The Label’s Bottom Line – for a non-stim blend, that is a pretty good list of ingredients. Although we don’t know the doses for anything, the blend itself looks pretty promising, as it looks that there are enough ingredients for every aspect of a pre-workout you would like to have.

HANDS ON EXPERIENCE

Taste & Mixability – There are 4 flavors, but we would recommend the green apple one. It’s really great, especially compared to other pre-workouts. The mixability is fine, but you might want to use a shaker to avoid any clamps.

Effectiveness – It’s weird to use the PSP and realize it is stim-free. The pumps are great, it really helps in increasing production when working out and the mental focus is very good too. And being the second product we try from the Metabolic Nutrition line, it looks like they figured out how to make their product impact last longer than the competitor’s products.

VALUE FOR MONEY & DEAL HISTORY

The retail price for 45 servings is $29.99 which frankly even when not on a deal is one of the best value for money for a non stim pre-workouts out there. We do hunt these down once every few months on a BOGO deal which can bring the price per tub down to the low 20’s range, and at that point, if you are in the market for a non stim product, you should jump all over it.

FINAL VERDICT

For all of you that don’t like stimulants in their pre-workouts, like to go to the gym at night or just want a break from stimulants, the P.S.P is the perfect pre-workout for you. You’ll get very close to a stim feel without the stim, and the pumps & focus will impress even the biggest stim junkies out there.
