This pre-workout made my last year’s top 5 stim junkie pre-workout list and it was the only non-DMHA pre-workout on that list. This has to be the most underrated pre-workout on the market.
I’m going to take you through the label, I’m going to refresh your memory with this super loaded formula here and I’m going to share my personal experience using this one over the last couple of weeks with its new improvements which actually took a very big step towards improving one of the lacking areas in this pre-workout and then I am going to give you my final verdict, let’s get right into the HyperMax Pre-Workout review.
Let’s start with the pump & power formula. You get 6grams of L-Citrulline. 6 grams of pure L-Citrulline, not the L-Citrulline malate – double of what you need and then you get 1 gram of Agmatine which is perfect! As you know, Citrulline by itself doesn’t do it like the combination with Agmatine. On top of that they added 1 gram of L-Ornithine and on top of that you have 3 grams of Beta-Alanine for muscle endurance and the tingling effect which for me personally is a very big part of the experience. It’s a super solid pump formula and you have what you need for pump & power. Let’s get into the stims and focus package.
I’m going to start with focus and mood elevation You have 400mg of phenylethylamine (PEA). That is by far the biggest amount of phenylethylamine I’ve seen on pre-workouts. But one of the things with PEA is more is not necessarily better. So what Performax labs did here, you have 400mg of PEA on top of that you have 200mg of Eria Jarensis (another PEA) that’s going to help you focus on mood elevation, but really the important part that ties it all together is the 50mg of Hordenine, perfect! I love it. That combination of 600mg PEAs together with Hordenine is perfect for focus & mood elevation.
Now let’s get into the stimulant package. They have what they call extreme energy blend, they have L-Tyrosine at 1 gram. This is really in the wrong place, it should be in the focus in the mood elevation part. L-Tyrosine is really a focus element. Then you have 325mg of caffeine, perfect! Right on point. You have bitter orange at 50mg and that’s going to help with thermogenesis, it also usually finds itself in fat burners and helps with appetite suppression. What actually it’s supposed to do is increase the effect of caffeine. Then you get 3mg of Rauwolfia, 90% subsidization, so that’s 2.7 mg of Rauwolfia (Alpha-Yohimbine). I know, if you are sensitive to Rauwolfia, you are saying oh my God I’m going to die from this because this is a lot of Rauwolfia.
Let’s start with the flavor. This flavor here, the new one, orange-mango is actually good. It’s not as if it’s so good you just want to drink it during the day but as far as pre-workout flavor, I would say it’s an 8 flavor. There is a bit of an aftertaste, chemical after taste but overall, its ok.
Let’s talk about the experience, after almost 6 or 7 months of not using Performax HyperMax, I now used this new version and it really reminded me why I love the HyperMax pre-workout. The focus and mood elevation is so on point. With the combo of the caffeine plus the Rauwolfia, you are going to get the energy kick, you are going to feel energized, you are going to go at it but it’s not rage, or angry, it is that you are just feeling so good that you want to lift heavy things and you want to work out and I just love it. As far as the focus side, this is one of the best focus pre-workout out there. The mood elevation is very apparent and the energy is great.
This is such a pleasant experience, Performax really nailed it with this one and now that the flavor is actually good. As far as pricing, you get 25 full servings which retail for the average $39.99, but with coupons and deals you should expect to find it around $35 price range which is decent for 25 servings. Obviously you should compare prices on Fitness Deal News and find the hottest deals.
