It’s time for another pre-workout review, coming to you from the FDA-proof bunker in New Jersey, America.
Say hello to my new little friend: Kratos by Beast Coast Research.
These are the same underground people out of SoCal who brought you the original Wildfire. The one that literally had DMAA printed on the label, one of the last ones that ever did. And that stuff was fire. T
They’ve since taken DMAA off the Wildfire label like everybody else did, and they may have changed the formula with it, it’s not very clear.
Then they came out with this. And when I asked these people about it, they told me: “You’re going to be surprised. This might feel like the original Wildfire. We might have switched things up.”
So I brought it back to the bunker and ran it for about a week.
I’m going to take you through the label real quick. Then I’m going to share my personal experience with this stuff.
And then, as usual on this channel, with minimal yappage involved, I’m going to tell you where it fits, if it fits, in your stim-junkie journey.
I’m going to take you through this really quick, but let’s be honest – labels are just labels.
You never know what they actually put in it. You never know how it comes together.
If you buy pre-workouts based purely off a label, you’re either half-informed or fully-informed of nothing.
Think of this as me reading you a bedtime story.
Here’s what Beast Coast Research claims is under the hood:

The interesting piece here is obviously the DMHA and DMAA combo. That’s the part that made me raise an eyebrow, and that’s the part that explains everything I’m about to tell you.
Also worth noting: 30 servings. A lot of you morons don’t do the math — 20 servings at $60 is a very different product than 30 servings at $50 or $60. Per scoop, Kratos is one of the most cost-effective options in the underground stim category right now.
I ran this for about a week. Here’s exactly how it feels.
This is the headline.
Kratos creeps on you. It takes about 20 minutes, and then the music starts sounding louder, the bubble forms around you, and you start moving. Slowly at first, then faster. The jokes get funnier. Your wife suddenly looks prettier — or at the very least, she stops looking ugly.
This is a mood-elevating, techno-dancing, EDM-in-your-headphones type pre-workout. The weights feel better. The songs sound better. Everything just feels better.
I don’t know if there’s real DMAA in there. I’m not going to tell you there is, because I don’t know. But whatever combination they landed on, it works.
This is not a high-sense-of-urgency pre-workout. This is not slap-you-across-the-face, wake-you-up-from-the-dead energy.
If you need to be resurrected before a session, look elsewhere.
What you get instead is clean elevation — no drama, no panic, no crash into the floor. And that mood carries for roughly two hours post-workout. You leave the gym still in the zone.
No alpha yo feeling. No spiked heart rate. No sense of survival. None of that.
Despite whatever beta-alanine is in there, the tingles were minimal. Barely registered.
Which, for a formula carrying DMHA, geranium, synephrine, and 350mg of caffeine, is genuinely surprising. This thing is far smoother than its ingredient panel suggests.
I fully expected this to taste like punishment. Underground brand, moronic name, ugly tub — the trifecta of bad flavor.
It was actually solid. Mixed fine, went down easy, no chemical aftertaste. On a scale of 1 to 10 — who cares about your scale of 1 to 10 — it’s completely inoffensive and genuinely enjoyable.
This is the real question, and the honest answer is: yes, Kratos is reminiscent of the original Wildfire.
It’s been about two years since I reviewed Wildfire, so I’m not going to pretend I remember every note of it. Beast Coast eventually pulled DMAA off the Wildfire label like everyone else did, and they may have changed the formula along with it.
But that specific Wildfire feeling — the creep, the mood lift, the bubble — Beast Coast clearly went back and rebuilt it here. If Wildfire was your favorite and you’ve been chasing that ghost since it changed, Kratos is the closest thing I’ve run in a while
If you want a pre-workout that grabs you by the collar and screams, Kratos is not it.
But if you want the music to sound louder, the bar to feel lighter, and your entire mood to lift for the next four hours — this is my vibe. This is my jive. This is exactly the type of pre-workout I reach for when I don’t want to be overwhelmed, I just want everything to feel better.
Surprise of the month. I’m on day three of this tub and I’m going to keep running it. That should tell you everything.
Who it’s for: Mood chasers, euphoria hunters, DMAA nostalgics, anyone who lifts to good music.
Who it’s not for: Anyone who needs a defibrillator in powder form. Stim-sensitive beginners.
If you like what I described, you should absolutely give this one a shot.
